One Last Scare

about me

My name is Kieran Masterton and I love horror movies, horror directors and horror poster art. I am a PhD student in the field of film theory and specialise in the slasher sub-genre and alternative methods of distribution. The content I curate on this blog is a collection of inspiration for an upcoming project I am working on entitled, One Last Scare.

  2. For a little project I’m working on I rewatched The Burning (1981) last night. I have to say I still love it as much as when I first saw it aged about 14. There’s certainly some bits that look comical by modern horror standards (Fisher Steven’s fingers) but I think it still stands up and deserves more recognition than it gets. Anyway, I thought what better to post than the beautiful Mondo poster by Phantom City Creative.

  3. Here’s another one of the prints I bought this month. Didn’t manage to snag it on the Mondo site but I’m such a Wes Craven fanboy that I ended up getting it via ebay.

  4. Incredible A Nightmare on Elm Street III poster by artist Jason Edmiston. These are a limited edition of 200 and go on sale via Mondo tomorrow. Bloody brilliant, going to try and grab myself one if they don’t sell out in under 5mins.

  10. This poster for Guillermo Del Toro’s Pan’s Labyrinth (2006) is nothing short of beautiful. The incredible artist behind this work is the stupidly talented, Aaron Horkey. Google him for more of his insanely detailed work.
